Winter Solstice Yoga

Solstice is a time to welcome the wisdom of Nature, of seasons, and of Self. Moving toward the shortest days, the longest nights, and for some of us, the coldest time of the year, we turn inward and navigate not only the quieter and deeper places in of ourselves, but also our internal spirit-fire, the light of ourselves, and our connection to all that is–the Divine itself.

Join me once again this Solstice to celebrate this journey as we watch Nature transform: from the rebirth of Spring, to the expansion and growth of Summer, to the harvesting of Autumn’s abundance, and finally into the falling away of all that work, growth, and outward energy as we ride the spiral into Winter–our time of renewal.

For Winter Solstice 2020, we will have TWO special events!

2020 Winter Solstice falls over December 20-21, with the moment of Solstice at 5 am on the 21st.  We are excited to announce that on Sunday, Dec. 20th, we will return to our EVENING “The Longest Night” event with an ONLINE Yin Yoga class from 5-6:15 pm (room for total of 6 in the studio with me).

Thanks to Mother Nature, we have a new blanket of snow and are offering a snow spiral, followed by a bonfire cleansing and intention-setting ceremony! This portion of our evening’s event is FULL now due to the need for small #s. Only in-person yoga students and those who have already RSVP’d will be admitted. Thank you!

Monday morning, Dec. 21st @ 6-7:15 am, we will host our annual “Welcome Winter Sunrise Yoga” class and annual fundraiser for the Conway Area Humane Society! This year, the class will be ONLINE (room for 6 in the studio with me). Last year we raised $1,300 for the kitties and pups, and I look forward to sharing our generosity once again with the wonderful animals and their keepers at CAHS! REGISTER NOW!

Celebration of Light!

All proceeds will be donated to the Conway Area Humane Society!

Monday, December 21st, 6-7:15 am

Join us for our Annual Winter Solstice Sunrise Yoga class! Roll out your mat at home (6 in studio) during the darkest hour before dawn, join us online as we circle around our candlelight evergreen spiral, enjoy a slow sun salutation practice to honor the sun, and emerge from Savasana to the first light of Winter!

Your $20 donation (or more!) will be gifted to the Conway Area Humane Society–last year we raised $1,300 ($600 in 2018). Want to donate more than $20? We’d love it!! Last year several people gave $50 and one donated $100! Choose your option and once registered you will be prompted to pay online with Venmo or PayPal, OR you may send a check made out to Dragonfly Yoga, so that all donations can be pooled to a single humongous amount for the Kitties and the Pups at CAHS!

This year you can also purchase Kathy Carney’s greeting cards as a way to support the animals at CAHS! Cards are $5 each or 5 for $20. If you are local, you can pick up your greeting cards at Dragonfly (arrange time), or when you purchase 4 or more, we can ship them to you (postal rate applies). They make a wonderful Holiday gift as well for your animal loving friends! Please inquire!

100% of proceeds will be gifted to the Conway Area Humane Society!
