We are so fortunate to have been graced with amazing workshop leaders and esteemed Faculty for 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program at Dragonfly Yoga. Below are some of the faculty and presenters we’ve had in our past; stay tuned as we continue to announce special programs & events as a part of our training calendar!

image8Katie O’Connell, Director of Dragonfly Yoga & Ayurveda Teacher Trainings, E-RYT, 500 Ayurveda Health Practitioner, AYS, Thai Yoga bodyworker, Reiki II Practitioner.

Katie is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500), has been practicing yoga for 25 years, teaching yoga since 2003, training yoga teachers since 2011, and has taught over 15,000 hours of yoga since her first certification! Katie has completed over 1,000 hours of primary and advanced yoga study with Paula Tursi, Bernie Clark, Cora Wen, Sudha Lundeen, Janet Stone, and Sadie Nardini. She has studied Ayurveda Yoga Therapy with Marisa Jackson-Kinman and Dr. Marc Halpern, head of the California College of Ayurveda, with whom she also earned a certification in the ancient science of Yoga Nidra. Katie is an Ayurvedic Health Practitioner (New World Ayurveda & Dr. Paul Dugliss) and has nearly 1,000 hours of study as an Ayurvedic Practitioner and Ayurveda Yoga Therapist/Specialist. Katie completed a year-long Spiritual Mentoring and Heart Based Meditation training (350 hours) in 2019, and practices HBM daily. She also has numerous certifications in Thai Yoga with Peter Kaaberbol (2006), Sunny Klaber (2012), and T’ai Jamar Hannah (2013), and is a long-time student of Bernie Clark, one of the primary Yin Yoga teachers in the West, and credits her initial love of Yin to Paulie Zink, where she first learned about Tao Yin Yoga in 2008. Her greatest teachers of all are her students, her own children, and her husband and partner in everything, Declan, aka Dhadood.

Katie teaches daily yoga classes, offers Ayurveda & Yoga consultations and classes, Heart Based Meditation training, private Thai Yoga bodywork, Spiritual Mentoring, YTT, Ayurvedic Indian Cooking classes, and Reiki appointments in front of the sun-filled windows facing the peaceful hemlock forest here at Dragonfly Yoga Barn, and she joyfully gallivants the globe leading retreats and trainings worldwide.

Lindsay Mayock, PT, DPT, RYT 200 is a Doctor of Physical Therapy at Mountain Center Physical Therapy in Conway, NH. Lindsay is an expert in pelvic floor health and gifted in her instruction on somatic movement, teaching workshops, and serving as guest faculty in several yoga teacher trainings, both internationally for Meghan Currie and here at home in NH, including Dragonfly’s 200 & 300 YTT programs. Along with her knowledge of the human body, Lindsay shares her profound love of yoga, her sense of humor, and her gift of presence for each and every student. “Dr. Linds,” as we call her, is Katie’s right hand woman (figuratively and anatomically) in both the 200 and the 300 hour Advanced YTT programs

T’ai Jamar Hanna, MS, LMT, and founder of Integral Healing Arts, is a licensed massage therapist, experienced yoga instructor, and student of love. Through the Art of Healing Touch, She has met hundreds of clients and students exactly where they are: in the process of questioning, discovering, and healing themselves. Tai Jamar

She has pursued and incorporated the teachings of experts in the fields of fitness, massage, somatic inquiry, meditation and yoga to address her own personal traumas and injuries. Informed and inspired by integrative medicine, community activism, and spiritual development; she found her home internationally teaching, studying, and exploring the body, mind, and spirit.

T’ai Jamar’s true calling is to help people discover what sustains them, offer techniques to support harmony and balance, and explore self-love and interdependence. She created Integral Healing Arts as a way to facilitate mindful movement, creative healing process and conscious breath for anyone seeking a complete and integrated approach to healing themselves.  Integral Healing Arts offer trainings, workshops, corporate wellness and private sessions in NYC, Santa Fe, Colorado, as well as internationally. IHA integrates the art of word, sacred geometry, and an innate curiosity with Eastern and Western healing modalities to support people in their desires, intentions and spiritual manifestations. T’ai Jamar has been practicing yoga for more than 20 years and working in the healing arts for more than 10. Calling on her experience as a former collegiate athlete and coach, end-of-life companion, wellness advocate, and a small business project manager; she is an Integral Healing Artist. T’ai is joining us in 2023 all the way from Colorado, where she has a private practice.

Paul Dugliss: Yoga Philosophy & Heart Based Meditation~ Paul Dugliss, M.D. has been meditating over 40 years and is the leading exponent of Heart-based Meditation. His passion is helping others to transform through developing higher consciousness and the power of love, and he is the author of Think with the Heart / Love with the Mind. Dr. Dugliss is an Internal Medicine physician practicing Ayurvedic Medicine and Ayurvedic Spiritual Counseling. He is the Academic Dean and Director of New World Ayurveda School, leading the movement to create a healthier world by making online Ayurvedic studies accessible to all.  Dr. Dugliss is an Acupuncturist and practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, has been a member of the Board of Directors of NAMA, the National Ayurvedic Medical Association and is currently on the Board of Directors of the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America (AAPNA), and has authored many books including: Ayurveda – The Power to Heal, Enlightened Nutrition, Capturing the Bliss: Ayurveda and the Yoga of Emotions, The Myth of Cholesterol, Yoga & Ayurveda, and Patanjali in the Light, his 2018 publication on the Yoga Sutras.

beth aimeBeth-Aime Labonte, E-RYT 500, LMT: Sanskrit ~ In 2010 Beth-Aime traveled to Southern India to immerse herself at the Shri K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute and since then has made routine visits back to the shala to study Ashtanga Yoga and Sanskrit from its source. It was through her travels to India where she found her Sanskrit teachers Dr. M.A. Jayashree and Lakshmish Bhat who have taught her how to read, write, and pronounce the beautiful and ancient language of Sanskrit. “I look forward to sharing all that my teachers have passed down to me with you.”

Beth is also the former owner of Living Yoga Studio in Concord, NH, and graduated from the North Eastern Institute of Whole Health where she studied Massage Therapy. She teaches Ashtanga yoga and Sanskrit discourse throughout New England and is excited to share all she continues to learn with her students and community. Other certifications include: ChildLight Yoga Instructor, SUP Yoga Instructor, Level 3 Reiki Master Practitioner. We are so excited to have Beth-Aime back in our 2023 program!

Lisa down dogLisa Buerk: Myofascial Release. Lisa (Heart of Peace Yoga) has been practicing yoga for 20 years and is excited to be sharing with others her love of yoga and the peace and calm it brings. She completed her 200 YTT in 2015 here at Dragonfly Yoga, her Yin TT with Bernie Clark in 2018, Pilates Mat certification in 2018, and is currently enrolled in Yoga Medicine’s Advanced YTT with Tiffany Cruikshank. Lisa teaches Myofascial release at Dr. Trish Murray’s center for Functional Medicine in Conway, NH, she teaches Myofascial Flow series at Dragonfly, as well as in the Dragonfly Summer program at RDC Camps in Holderness, NH

Brenda McMorrow 2 2015Brenda McMorrow: Bhakti Yoga~The Yoga of Sacred Sound. Brenda is known for her unique and warmly embracing style of mantra music, in which she blends elements of acoustic folk, world rhythms, and ancient Indian chants with a sweetly introspective singer-songwriter’s sensibility. Yoga Journal describes Brenda as having “a knack for expressing the deepest realizations in the sparsest lyrics.”  As spiritual teacher Ram Dass has said: “Brenda has a gift,” and her music has been touching people’s hearts worldwide. With 4 celebrated devotional chant albums, Brenda is a featured artist on the White Swan Records roster, a Colorado label well known for it’s high-profile yoga-inspired artists like Deva Premal.  Brenda has been invited to Festivals and events across North and South America, Europe and Asia, and she is thrilled to be a part of Dragonfly Yoga’s Advanced 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training where she will be sharing sacred sound and story through the practice of chanting.
