Two Retreat-Style Modules: Nov. 21 ~ 23 & Dec. 12 ~ 14, 2025

Our comprehensive 50-Hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training begins in the Spring of 2025 with a two-module format, each module purposefully curated to offer the nuts and bolts of the practice, underlying philosophy, physical and subtle body anatomy, myofascial release practices and the latest news of how fascia works (how fasc-yin-ating!), as well as the key asanas and the how to’s of intelligent sequencing.
This training features three of our veteran teachers:
Katie O’Connell, ERYT 500, Dragonfly Yoga Barn & Dragonfly Yoga & Ayurveda Yoga Teacher Training, RYS 200 & 300
Lindsay Mayock, PT, DPT, CYT 200, Reverence Health
Lisa Buerk, RYT 200, Heart of Peace Yoga

This YIN YTT is offered in a unique retreat-style format that allows you to come to Dragonfly Yoga Barn over two retreat weekends, one in May and one in July, to stay with us here onsite, eat nourishing vegetarian meals made from scratch by Chef Declan, and to practice and learn a style of Yoga that is beautifully steeped in Nature and the elements–all right here on the edge of the forest and overlooking the mountains right from the studio. When you register, you are registering for both weekends and the full 50 Hour YTT.

Yin is a practice that takes us on a journey of our inner landscapes. It is here that we begin to understand the world through stillness and softening. An antidote to all that pulls our attention outward, draining the human batteries, Yin helps us to turn inwards, tune in, and listen. Distractions decrease, and in the space of each pose, we come to understand ourselves with more compassion. This allows us to better understand and participate in the world around us. It expands our ability to be compassionate, forgiving, kind, and accepting.
Because Yin is slow, yielding, deliberate, and patient, we come to understand the opportunity we have to pause rather than react. We become less judgmental about ourselves, more and more and more curious about our physical bodies, and over time, we cultivate a new way of seeing ourselves and others with this new “Yinsight.”
While this training is designed to allow current 200 hour + yoga teachers to add Yin yoga to their repertoires, there is no pre-requisite for this course. If you are not yet a yoga teacher, this training will not certify you as one or certify you to teach Yin; you will still need to take a 200-hour training if you’d like to teach.
In this 50 Hour Training, you will learn and experience:
- What is Yin Yoga, and the purpose of Yin as a counterbalance to our Yang lifestyle
- Overview of Benefits of Yin
