GETS even GREENER with SOLAR!
Our USA made ground-mounted solar PV system have been up and running for almost two years! The 2-sectioned 100 foot array made of 60 panels now powers and produces all the hot water for the entire retreat center as well as our own home! We have always grown organic gardens, reclaimed old buildings for our beautiful projects here, and used minimal oil only as our back-up fuel. Now we are really excited to take the next step and light ourselves up with only the beautiful sunshine!!
About Dragonfly…
The retreat center is a cluster of restored 250 year-old New England barns moved to the current site between 2003 and 2007. The hand-hewn timbers, plank walls, and meditation loft made of reclaimed barn board and beams make the studio a sanctuary for yogis, hikers, and all who are lucky enough to stumble upon this gem in the middle of the woods in this North Sandwich haven. Large French doors open to an amazing view of Whiteface Mountain, and the porch looks over the hills and forest that surround this peaceful and healing place. Our elegant bunk rooms house 16 for overnight retreats and events, and our consciously-prepared meals will nourish your body and spirit with local and organic produce. Enjoy rejuvenating yoga classes, the organically-grown gardens, wholesome food, and the time to replenish your soul off the beaten path.
