Squam Lake Kayak Tour with Katie & Leslie 

Sunday, August 15th, 2021,  7-11 am ~ $120 

Join Leslie Jose and Katie O’Connell for an early morning paddle & adventure on the lake, a time for conversation & contemplation and for exploring the beauty & magic of Squam. Our morning paddle will be refreshing, uplifting, & nourishing, and give us the opportunity to share meaningful time with each other, while easily offering the natural physical distance of boats and water. In these surreal times of distance & challenge, come fill your spirit with the nurturing aspects of nature and shared time together as we investigate some of the prettiest coves and islands of Squam, as well as maybe get a glimpse of the eagles, loons, and herons that inhabit them!

For this journey, you need to have your own kayak (or rent / borrow one), and you need to be comfortable on the water in a boat by yourself. You must be able to swim, and we ask that you have no underlying health issues or injuries, and that you are joining this group in your best health. Each participant must have a life vest, and we strongly recommend you bring a hat, whistle, snacks, and eco-friendly bug spray and sunscreen, and a waterproof bag for your phone/camera/journal. Wear your swimsuit and enjoy multiple dips!!

We will meet on Metcalf Road off 113 in Sandwich, at the boat launch. Parking is on your right, lake is on your left. Please arrive 15 minutes early to unload and gather on the water. Bring your morning “cuppa” Joe or tea, a water bottle, and your own mid-morning snacks. There are no restrooms where we are going, so be prepared 😉  It will ignite your spirit to be in the wild even if just for a little while! Together we will share times of silent meditation, times of quiet conversation, a time to take pictures or maybe jot down thoughts in a journal, and a couple of opportunities to step onto an island and just “be” in the majesty and wonder that abounds on Squam.
