Yoga Nidra & Self Healing
The Art of Conscious Relaxation
with Katie O’Connell, Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist, ERYT 500
Thursdays @ Dragonfly, 9-10 am!
1 Hour of Yoga Nidra = 3 Hours of Restful Sleep.
Yoga Nidra is an ancient and powerful healing modality found in the oldest philosophical yoga texts, and that offers the participant a deep state of rest and relaxation. It is a state of acute consciousness during which the external senses are withdrawn and one’s awareness of the subtle energy body is expanded. While resting comfortably, participants are guided through each of the five layers of your being: the physical body, the mental body, the breath body, the intuitive mind, or witness, and the bliss body, all while remaining perfectly still. The goal is to remain awake and aware, so you can experience the profound awakening that is your conscious blissful Self!
Katie was trained in Classical Yoga Nidra, an ancient method healing, with Dr. Shiva Marc Halpern, founder of the California College of Ayurveda, the oldest Ayurveda institute in America.
Bring your yoga mat, a pillow, a soft blanket to cover yourself, and prepare for the journey into bliss!
