IN PERSON

with Dr. Paul Dugliss

January 13 ~ 15, 2023

Heart-Based Meditation retreats are the ultimate opportunity to experience deep rest, foster rejuvenation, and receive instruction in consciousness and heart-centered living. We invite you to connect with our community of meditators and find the joy that comes in taking each step toward greater freedom.

Much like Dr. Dugliss’s online HBM retreats, our IN PERSON retreat program officially begins Friday evening, January 13th, at 7 pm and ends before lunch on Sunday, leaving you with extra time to relax and integrate on Sunday afternoon. Our meditation sequences are punctuated with time for personal movement and stretching, breath work and rest periods to give you the maximum integration benefits.

Guests are welcome to arrive anytime AFTER 4 pm to get settled and relax with a cup of tea before dinner. We cannot accommodate any arrivals before 4 o’clock. Dinner in the farmhouse is at 5:30 for all who are able to arrive early. PROGRAM BEGINS AT 7 pm, and Dr. Dugliss has asked all participants to arrive no later than 6:30 pm to set up in time for evening practice and Satsang.

To facilitate connection between participants and hold space for meaningful conversation, time is given in smaller groups over the weekend. Spacious meal breaks include time for walking and self-reflection.

We encourage you to give yourself the gift of retreat as an opportunity to let go of your day-to-day responsibilities and relax. Many have found that this format truly facilitates deep connection, impactful healing and powerful transformation.

These meditation retreats are for Heart-based Meditation Practitioners only. You need to have taken a 4-week HBM series with Dr. Dugliss or another HBM teacher prior to attending. Please attend only if you can make all three days and only if you can ease into and out of the weekend.

How else is this retreat different from the online retreats Dr. Dugliss offers?

  • First and foremost, being face to face with our dear teacher and our HBM peers is a thing to be cherished. Dr. Paul has decided that this retreat is for in-person students only, making it the first in several years, where we, as students, have Dr. Dugliss all to ourselves. Ours is an intimate setting with a max of about 15 students.
  • Your retreat includes meals and complimentary lodging in our dorms, which means you don’t have to cook, clean, or even make your bed after the weekend! Staying at Dragonfly means you can relax right where you are, further integrate with your retreat peers, and spend time in nature, whether gazing at the mountain view from our studio windows, or walking out into the forest for a breath of truly fresh mountain air. LODGING ON SITE IS LIMITED TO THE FIRST 15 GUESTS. Some of you may live nearby and prefer to sleep in your own bed at home. COMMUTERS are welcome, but we ask that your housing is nearby so that your driving is limited and more time can be spent on campus integrating with peers.
  • Dragonfly Yoga Barn is immersed in Nature, making it an ideal place to retreat for the practice of meditation. The retreat is spacious, clean, warm, and inviting. We have everything here you could need for your yoga practice (mats, props, bolsters, and blankets). Just bring yourself, your comfy clothes, and any special pillow or blankets you love.
  • We are offering a light dinner for all who can attend at 5:30 pm prior to the start of the program on Friday evening. This, and all meals except Saturday lunch, are included in your retreat fee. All of our meals are vegetarian. We ask you to note on your registration if you have any food allergies. Once you register, you will receive a schedule of our program, including meals and breaks and any other important information you’ll need to plan your weekend away with us.

Your investment of $450 includes Dr. Dugliss’ instruction and program for the weekend, 2 nights lodging (LIMITED, first registered, first served; COMMUTERS welcome if housed nearby), all meals (except Sat. lunch, which you can pack in), and the opportunity to share Heart Based Meditation in person with our peers and our teacher, Dr. Paul Dugliss. We hope you say yes to your heart, and join us for this wonderful winter weekend in the White Mountains of NH.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Once you register for a Dragonfly Retreat, your deposit (full retreat fee for weekend retreats, and booking deposit on international retreats) is non-refundable and non-transferable (unless you have permission of the retreat leader to transfer your spot to another guest, and Dragonfly receives a transfer registration form and transfer fee of $100). While we realize “life happens,” our policies are FIRM, as we only have so many group retreats available, and only so many spots to offer in each retreat. To protect your investment, we suggest registrants purchase trip insurance in the event you need to cancel.
